Individual Weight Loss Program
Achieving weight loss through the Easy Weight Loss Programme is not about dieting. It is about changing the way you view food both consciously and subconsciously. It works to change your attitude towards food and eating and therefore make healthier choices. Your first appointment will be to make a thorough assessment of your needs, behaviours and beliefs about food and weight loss. During this appointment we will put together a personalised plan for your weight loss. Your individual therapist, will help you along with your journey towards a new, healthier you.
During subsequent sessions, your therapist will work with you to achieve weight loss using some or all of the following:
You will meet with your therapist on a weekly basis until continuous weight loss is established. Following this, you and your therapist can decide the frequency of your maintenance appointments.
The programme offers you a unique opportunity to explore the root causes of your weight problems. It is not a calorie controlled diet where once you stop, the weight piles back on. This therapy aims to completely change your relationship with food.
You will also have the option of joining the weight loss group.
Group Weight Less Program
Working with a group of like-minded individuals can greatly increase your chances of success at losing weight. The programme consists of weekly sessions where newcomers can complete and assessment so that we know your needs exactly.
Each week you can meet with the group and receive hypnotherapy, group talking therapy or coaching. We can change your attitude and your behaviours towards food so that weight loss is a natural consequence of these changes.
Just think, losing weight without having to measure, count or restrict. All because the changes will just happen as your behaviours adjust to a healthier lifestyle. All you need to do is come along and commit to the programme. Group attendees will be required to complete a questionnaire and have a short discussion with the therapist to ensure that this is the right therapy for you.
As a one to one client, you will be offered an assessment session so that your unique weight loss programme can be designed to meet your particular needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many sessions will I need?
It is very difficult to say how many sessions you will need. It depends on the complexity of your problems and your willingness to work on yourself between sessions.
How can I access sessions?
You can attend your sessions in person, talk by telephone or by video link. For video link you need to have a smart phone, a tablet, a laptop or a PC. During the pandemic we can only offer either video link or telephone counselling. This will continue until restrictions are lowered enough to allow us to reopen our Clitheroe practice.
Is what I say in a session confidential?
Yes, everything that you say in a session is confidential and is kept between your therapist and yourself. However, there are circumstances where information may be shared with or without your consent. If your therapist believes that you are actively suicidal, that means that she believes that you would seriously harm yourself with an intention to end your life and that this is imminent, she would share only relevant information to emergency services in order to keep you safe.
Do I have to attend at the same time/ day every time I come?
No, you can arrange your sessions at a times that both you and your therapist mutually agree to.
